Second-generation cerine (EOLYS 176) to fill the additive tank on vehicles equipped with a wet particulate filter. Ideal solution for professionals : Universal cerine allows you to have only one reference to store. It is compatible with the EOLYS DPX42, EOLYS 176, the infineum F7995 and the EOLYS PowerFlex. Cerine 2 (EOLYS 176) with filler kit for additive/wet FAP What is cerine ? Cerine is the addictive acid directly integrated into the additive particle filters. It is designed to improve the regeneration quality of this FAP. Otherwise known as EOLYS, this mixture of cerium dioxide, ferrocene (iron oxide) and solvents is a French invention used mainly by the PSA/Stellantis group (Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Mini with PSA engine, Ford/PSA engine, ...). This additive will create a catalytic effect by lowering the burning temperature of the particles. Thus, thanks to cerine, you do not need to make long journeys in order for the regeneration of the particle filter to be done correctly. Soot will burn at a lower temperature and thus more quickly on journeys in agglomeration for example. Its composition has greatly evolved over time with the complexity of the engines, and the hardening of European standards. Each additive generation is therefore specific to a powertrain. FAP dry or additive? For information, a vehicle equipped with a "SEC particulate filter" does not have an additive pocket or tank. A "ADDITIVE or WET particulate filter" has an additive tank. This technology is used on vehicles with engines designed by PSA/ Stellantis (range Peugeot, Citroen, DS, some Mini, some Ford,...). What cerine should I use for my vehicle ? The simplest solution is to use UNIVERSAL Cerine. It applies to all vehicles. Otherwise, the procedure below will allow you to identify if you need 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation cerine. Check the colour of the additive tank connector on the rear left side of the vehicle. Confirm the additive reference according to the APV-PR, OPR or DAM number indicated on the left front door of the vehicle (you must follow the compatibility guidelines, as it is imperative not to mix the different references).
